Andrew Shapland – The Roving Ambassador

He is a subject matter expert and leading specialist of strategic sales and marketing within the hospitality industry. His significant experience and in-depth industry knowledge supported by experiences from the USA, UK, RSA and other overseas markets has consistently produced successful results. He has promoted a range of hotels and lodges in Southern Africa, including the former Conservation Corporation and was instrumental in creating The Small Exclusive Hotels of Southern Africa (which later merged into Tourism Corporation Africa Ltd.) Andrew is a dynamic leader with industry experience, knowledge and vision.

Roxy Louw – Ambassador

Roxy was born in Cape Town, South Africa in 1987 and very proudly the daughter of Rob Louw, ex Springbok Rugby Legend. Roxy spent the eighth year of her life in Italy which opened her eyes to European Culture and played a great role in her steps towards adulthood. A keen surfer she was spotted by Seth Hulley (ex pro-surfer) at the age of 17 and signed with Oakley America as a team rider. Roxy’s sporting career to date has taken her around the world from Brazil, Costa Rico, Bali, California and Hawaii. Her sporting career led on to undertaking commercial TV shoots in South Africa and overseas and her love for travelling and TV enabled her to work with Universal Pictures in California and South Africa. As an ambassador for The Roving Ambassador a company registered in the Republic of South Africa, Roxy undertakes trips to take our story to the world and that of our amazing and beautiful privately owned Hotels and Lodges. Her love of life and passion for people based on a philosophy of service excellence continues to ensure that our firm retains the competitive edge in the market place and the image that Andrew created of this firm in 1992.

Sarah Cairns – Advisory Panel – Commercial Development

derekSarah Cairns ( Executive VP Marketing and Communications ) is a dynamic leader within the global corporate sector of Hospitality Marketing. Her warmth and charm, which is a natural within adheres our trade partners and the media, to be captured by the TCA Story, or which she is responsible for taking to the world. Sarah joined TCA Hotels from the infamous and glamorous “Four Seasons Hotel” in Los Angeles distinct Beverley Hills and brings a wealth of knowledge and valuable contacts to the table, which are invaluable to the group. From “movie stars” to “major corporates” and “media” Sarah has many years of experience and her persuasive skills reaches out to all in a harmonious manner. Often referred to as a ‘guru” within the communications sector and liked by all Sarah is a team builder and has the ability and skills to capture clients needs and create business strategies which meet those time and time again, this is complimented by her sophisticated manner and good features.

Shanaaz Solomons – Sales and Marketing Executive

When you marry Shanaaz’s impeccable eye for detail with her passion for professionalism, the result is an uncompromising talent for all things organised. Describing herself as ‘reserved’ and ‘dedicated’ Shanaaz soaks in her exciting and stimulating working environment, making sure every piece of work she completes is done to the very best of her ability. Keeping her finger on the pulse at Tourism Corporation Africa, Shanaaz has learned the complex ‘ins and outs’ of the boutique travel industry, making her a valuable asset to the TCA team.
